Steel offers the lowest price tag compared to other materials, but it also offers the most diversity in terms of colour and style. Steel is malleable which allows radiators to be efficient because they can be physically designed to better pass heat from the water inside to the space around them (this is a radiator's job after all, despite some thinking that its job is to “store” heat). The heat output is also good, the proof is in the pudding with this one - would steel be the most common radiator material if the heat output was rubbish? Steel is a highly durable material which is important as radiators are going to be the victims of some knocks and bangs over time and you want them to withstand that.
Columns“Column” refers to the style of radiator but when there is a number in in front of this – e.g. “2 Column”, we’re talking about the structure of the radiator itself. Column radiator sections are made from vertical tubes which are connected at the top and bottom, the number comes from the how many vertical tubes there are in these sections. A 2 column radiator has 2 vertical tubes, a 3 column has 3 and so on. 2 column (sometimes known as double column) is the slimmest type of column radiator on the market. The heat output of a 2 column radiator is less than the larger, 3, 4 or 6 variants of column radiators. But that doesn’t mean to say they won’t warm up the room - especially small rooms which their slim styles are predominantly designed for.
ColourWhite is a true classic. Ideal for those who like to switch up their décor from time to time, a white radiator won’t restrict your interior design spirit. This gloss powder-coated finish is perfectly even and looks gorgeous with the simple wipe of a cloth. White can be perceived as boring or safe, but in reality, it gives a clean and fresh impression in your home. Plus, with our wide range of radiator valves and accessories, you can add a touch of colour to the radiator without it becoming overbearing within the room.
Heat SourceA central heating or hot water radiator is one that is plumbed into your homes central heating system. Whether you have a Combi boiler, gravity fed (conventional) system or a system with a cylinder, you can install this radiator.
AccessoriesThis radiator has G1/2” connections either side at the bottom and so the valves required will depend on your pipework (which is why they aren’t provided with the radiator):
- For pipework coming from the wall to the side of the radiator, use corner valves.
- For pipework coming from the floor and up to the side of the radiator, use angled valves.
- For pipework coming along the wall to meet the side of the radiator, use straight valves.
This radiator is provided with wall mounting brackets and column radiator feet are not a requirement. However, if you want to emphasize traditional style then we definitely recommend purchasing some colour matching feet. The feet can be used along with the wall brackets to help carry some of the weight of the radiator. Alternatively, don’t use the wall brackets provided and instead purchase some wall stays in either a matching or contrasting colour!
There are a few different types of valves available for you to choose from: Manual Valves provide easy on/off control – simply turn the valve by hand to allow the water from your central heating to pass through into the radiator or towel rail, just like a tap! If this radiator is going to be in the same room as your main boiler thermostat (usually a little box on the wall or the mantle, that you turn up and down) then we advise you to use manual valves over TRV’s because a TRV will conflict with your boiler thermostat and can cause temperature issues around the home. Thermostatic Valves (TRVs) provide multi temperature control of the radiators in your home – saving energy and money! These valves have sensor mechanisms inside that shut off the flow of hot water to the radiator when the room temperature reached the desired level! If your looking to reduce your carbon footprint while remaining cosy warm, then TRV’s are the way to go (provided they aren’t installed in the room where your main boiler thermostat is).
Delta (Δ) Ratings Explained
What is a Delta (Δ) Rating?
When discussing heat outputs, the Delta rating is the difference between the temperature of the water inside the heating system and the desired temperature of the room.
What does the value represent?
In simple terms, this value is about heat loss. Heating a room only works, if the radiator output exceeds the heat loss of the room.
We use this calculation to make it easy to choose a radiator that will have a heat output that exceeds the heat loss of the room when connected to your heating system type.
If you don't know the room heat loss, you can use our calculator to find out.
What Delta Rating should I use?
- Δ50 = Gas boilers before 2005 / Oil boilers before 2007.
- Δ40 = Gas boilers after 2005 / Oil boilers after 2007.
- Δ30 = Low temperature systems e.g heat pumps.
Watts & BTUs (British Thermal Units) Explained
What is a Watt?
Watts are our main unit of energy/power in the UK, commonly associated with lightbulbs and Home Energy performance certificates (EPCs).
What is a BTU?
BTUs are the unit of measurement used to portray a radiators heat output and a rooms heating requirement. 1 Watt is equal to 3.41 BTUs.
Why are they important?
We buy radiators to heat our homes, right? So, we need a way of knowing if a radiator is powerful enough to heat the room that we are shopping for - Watts and BTUs provide us with a value that makes its easier to compare radiators and ultimately choose the right one for our heating requirement.
Need help figuring out how much heat your room needs?
Our fast and easy-to-use BTU calculator can help you:
- Work out a heating requirement value (in BTUs & Watts) for your room
- Show you in-stock radiator recommendations that can fulfil this heat requirement

VERY, VERY happy with my radiator. Great value, speedy delivery and looks fantastic in my new bathroom. Highly recommended.
I have purchased several radiators from this company and they are brilliant. I have even taken delivery the very next day after ordering. Wonderful service, the radiators are very well packaged and there has never been any damage in transit. They have staff on the phone and no queuing. I highly recommend this British Company. Thank you, JB
Great radiators good price only thing for me was they have a blue white tinge of them .
Excellent quality, looks fantastic. Very pleased.
Love it
The radiator was very quick to arrive, easy to fit and looks fantastic
Good clean radiator, does what it is supposed to do
We’ll Priced radiators and very fast delivery time certainly recommend!
Ordered and arrived within a couple of days. Fitter wasn’t due for a fortnight and when we unpacked both radiators were damaged. Contacted customer service who arranged for new radiators which arrived two days later and damaged ones to be collected. Radiators are great. Way the company handles and resolved the issue was fantastic!
Fantastic quality arrived on time chuffed to bits
These radiators are good quality and look the part and are great for using in areas with limited wall space.
Looks good just what we needed
Good no complaints as yet
Small chip company helped sort this problem out
Looks good fingers crossed they give off a lot of heat
Easy to fit working well, look great
super cute and stylish, they would be ideal in a small room.
Exactly what we wanted, looks great and works effectively. Heats up quickly and retains it. My installer said it was easy to install. Would choose again. Thank you.
Good looking radiator, pumps out the heat and the company was very efficient and helpful. Super quick delivery. Customer service was excellent.
Very good radiator for the money very stylish
Very nice looking, compact radiator. Surprisingly high btu rating which as winter approaches will hopefully prove its worth. Very narrow profile and projects no more than the twin panel radiator it replaced.
This is a fantastic radiator, it looks cool and heats up well. It was purchased to replace a standard radiator without having to change the pipework. Whilst being a little more efficient for the price, well they look pretty boring, don't they? It looks great, it heats the room really well, what's not to like about it. Add to that the excellent communication - the item wasn't in stock when I ordered it - and service from UK Radiators which meant my expectations were well managed... I will definitely be going back to UK Radiators for my next radiator upgrade. Nice one
Beautiful radiator that everyone complements. Great service and fast delivery. Cannot fault this.
Great rads! Perfect quality!
I am sure it’s an excellent radiator, but it’s still in the box!
Lovely looking rad - looks substantial and a nice combination of modern and traditional.
I like the look and it works great!
