Material

What tends to put homeowners off purchasing a stainless-steel towel radiator is the slightly higher price tag, compared to the common steel towel rail. But in certain circumstances, stainless steel is definitely worth the investment. Bathroom towel rails are going to come into contact with water from wet towels and hands as well as general moisture from the steam of your toasty hot shower. Stainless steel is a material that is designed to withstand these corrosive elements for years and years – just take a look in your cutlery drawer! If your bathroom is poorly ventilated – lacking in windows and fans to remove moisture - or you have a rare and unusual set up, where the hot water flowing through your radiators is also used as hot water for your taps and showers, then we recommend a stainless steel towel rail to help you fight corrosion for years to come, with the long guarantee length providing extra peace of mind.

Style

A curved ladder towel rail is as you would imagine - the ladder name signifies the run of horizontal tubes connected by two vertical tubes (these are called collectors), the “curve” simply means that these horizontal tubes curve outward. While this curve does ever so slightly increase the overall surface area, and therefore the heat output, compared to the straight version of the same size and range – its not worth shouting about. However, the curve does provide a benefit that many find rather useful, the design means that there is more room for towel storage and make feeding the towels through the ladder a little easier.

Colour

This stainless steel material has a polished finish, much like chrome. The reflective, mirror finish makes it a popular choice for bathrooms. It adds a touch of shine and sparkle in the room and can mesh with your chrome fixtures perfectly.

Heat Source

This central heating/hot water towel rail is one that is plumbed into your homes central heating system. Whether you have a Combi boiler, gravity fed (conventional) system or a system with a cylinder, you can install this heated towel rail.

Accessories

This towel rail has G1/2” connections at the base of either side of the towel rail and so the valves required will depend on your pipework (which is why they aren’t provided with the towel rail):

  • For pipework coming from the wall to the bottom of the rail, use angled or corner valves (angled, for a valve head that sticks out into the room and corner for a valve head that’s tucked under the rail).
  • For pipework coming from the floor and up to the bottom of the rail, use straight valves.

There are a few different types of valves available for you to choose from: Manual Valves provide easy on/off control – simply turn the valve by hand to allow the water from your central heating to pass through into the radiator or towel rail, just like a tap! These are commonly used with towel rails because of their ease, but that doesn’t mean you have to choose manual – unless your main boiler thermostat is located in your bathroom, which is unlikely.
Thermostatic Valves provide multi temperature control of the radiators in your home – saving energy and money! These valves have sensor mechanisms inside that shut off the flow of hot water to the radiator when the room temperature reached the desired level!

All of our towel rails are supplied with everything required to hang the rail on the wall (brackets & masonry fixings) as well as a chrome bleed valve and blanking plug for the top of the rail. For ultimate style we recommend you also purchase some colour matching pipe covers, either match the colour to the towel rail or the valves!

great quality stainless steel radiator

Neil A

Well made radiator, at a decent price. Lost a star due to not being supplied with a cover for the bleed valve, for £200 you think a 50p cover could be supplied, just to finish off the appearance.

Excellent quality, purchase was easy and delivery was excellent. Well informed by email, would use company again and recommend to others.

Chris C

Stunning piece of manufacturing and design. Never bought stainless steel rad before for a job, but from now on it will be stainless all the way. Fantastic finish, brilliantly self colouring and extremely well made. A joy to get in one of my Bathroom jobs.

Beautifully made and the service was great.

I am a tradesman & have received great service from this company. The towel arrived but had a noticeable defect on the top. Unfortunately they were out of stock so collected & replaced the towel rail with an upgraded curved one. Great Customer Care. Thank you.

Mr Les C

Very good quality, polished chrome type finish, looks great

Good quality radiator, once fitted is bigger than required. But future proofed if I decide to install a heat pump. I had an issue installing the unit with the supplied screws. I found that the screw holes in the wall mounts where 12mm in diameter and not 6mm as per the supplied mounting screws. This would have meant the wall mounts would have have a reduced contact surface with the radiator wall mounts if not drilled accurately. This was easily over come by buying larger 6mm washers from a well known hardware chain. Radiator was securely install. Radiator looks good and would recommend it. UK radiators very good at assisting with my installation problem. Perhaps the manufacturers of the radiator could supply 4 washers in the install kit. Would have given 5 stars if had not had an issue with the wall mounts. Professional fitters may be aware of this issue.
