Main Features:
If you are investing in a column radiator and want a really authentic, vintage look for your home, then wall stays are a great choice. Our wall stays are constructed from solid brass and have a total length of 260mm, but can be cut down to size to suit the depths of 2, 3 and 4 column radiators. They are designed to be used with Column radiator feet to replace standard wall mounting brackets that are provided with the radiator.
While column radiators can be installed with feet alone, its important to remember that column radiators are often very heavy and wall stays help to hold and distribute some of this weight which can help to protect your wall and radiator from damage over time. Secondly, when installed on feet alone, there is nothing to stop the radiator from swaying which can severely damage your pipework – wall stays prevent this swaying and keep the radiator fixed in position, preventing damage and leaks!
For column radiators with less than 20 sections, we recommend using at least 2 wall stays per radiator for symmetry and security. If your column radiator has more than 20 sections then we recommend using a 3rd wall stay.
ColourCopper is the ultimate stylish and on-trend colour for fixtures and fittings and doesn’t this wall stay just shines! Whether you have a period or contemporary property, this copper finish will suit. Pair these beauties with a pair of our copper TRV’s, pipe covers and bleed valves and blanking plug packs to really complete the look of your radiator.
When discussing heat outputs, the Delta rating is the difference between the temperature of the water inside the heating system and the desired temperature of the room.
In simple terms, this value is about heat loss. Heating a room only works, if the radiator output exceeds the heat loss of the room.
We use this calculation to make it easy to choose a radiator that will have a heat output that exceeds the heat loss of the room when connected to your heating system type.
If you don't know the room heat loss, you can use our calculator to find out.
Watts are our main unit of energy/power in the UK, commonly associated with lightbulbs and Home Energy performance certificates (EPCs).
BTUs are the unit of measurement used to portray a radiators heat output and a rooms heating requirement. 1 Watt is equal to 3.41 BTUs.
We buy radiators to heat our homes, right? So, we need a way of knowing if a radiator is powerful enough to heat the room that we are shopping for - Watts and BTUs provide us with a value that makes its easier to compare radiators and ultimately choose the right one for our heating requirement.
Our fast and easy-to-use BTU calculator can help you:

Cost less than other colours? Wanted a simple white bracket but these were cheaper to buy in copper. So whilst they had a lovely finish I just painted to match radiator.
