Dry Mass (kg):0.5kg

T300 Central Heating Cleanser effectively eliminates installation debris, sludge, flux residues, and oils from your central heating system. It passivates the metal surfaces, while preventing pinhole corrosion in radiators. One 500ml bottle is all you need to get the job done. Simply add to the system at its first filling, and circulate at normal temperatures for 2 (at normal operating temperatures) or 24 hours (using cold water). No powerflush machine required.

How to use

Open systems should be closed via F&E cistern (adequate draining from low point is
recommended to ensure that all the T300 enters the circulating part of the system). Sealed systems: T300 should be injected into the filling loop or other access point. If the system is empty, pour T300 into any convenient point prior to filling.

Cleaning

Circulate T300, with all the valves open, for at least an hour after central heating has
maintained working temperature but can be left in for several days. Flush the system and then drain off at all drain points. Systems should be flushed in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendation. When refilling the system use T100 inhibitor.

Dosing Rate

T300 should be dosed at 0.5% of system volume - ie: 500ml of T300 per 100 litres
of the system’s water. Generally, one bottle contains enough for an average central heating system.
For larger systems use an extra bottle of T300 - over-dosing will not cause any detrimental effects to the system.

Please note: where a thermal storage appliance is fitted, allowance must be made
for the increased volume of primary water. The concentration may be checked with a conductivity meter.

Important Notes

T300 must not be left in the system. Do not add to primatic system.

What if my system is new?

If a system has not been cleaned prior to use, issues for new systems will be present, with the installation debris causing issues and damage to the system.
Cleanser is designed to target installation and manufacture debris and contaminants.
When cleaned, it will passivate the metal surfaces and prevent copper deposition.
In this scenario, the system may benefit from a manual flush using the T600 Power Flush.

Older Systems

With older systems, the specific problems will dictate which cleaning chemical will give the best results. Older systems may need a much more thorough clean in order to remove the sludge build up. To clean older systems and remover any build up of sludge, we recommend using our T400 Sludge Remover.

If you are tackling circulation problems, identifiable as cold spots in radiators, most often caused by sludge build-up.
The formation of this sludge is almost impossible to completely prevent and it often settles in low flow areas of systems.

Watts & BTUs (British Thermal Units) Explained

What is a Watt?

Watts are our main unit of energy/power in the UK, commonly associated with lightbulbs and Home Energy performance certificates (EPCs).

What is a BTU?

BTUs are the unit of measurement used to portray a radiators heat output and a rooms heating requirement. 1 Watt is equal to 3.41 BTUs.

Why are they important?

We buy radiators to heat our homes, right? So, we need a way of knowing if a radiator is powerful enough to heat the room that we are shopping for - Watts and BTUs provide us with a value that makes its easier to compare radiators and ultimately choose the right one for our heating requirement.

Need help figuring out how much heat your room needs?

Our fast and easy-to-use BTU calculator can help you:

  • Work out a heating requirement value (in BTUs & Watts) for your room
  • Show you in-stock radiator recommendations that can fulfil this heat requirement

Delta (Δ) Ratings Explained

What is a Delta (Δ) Rating?

When discussing heat outputs, the Delta rating is the difference between the temperature of the water inside the heating system and the desired temperature of the room.

What does the value represent?

In simple terms, this value is about heat loss. Heating a room only works, if the radiator output exceeds the heat loss of the room.

We use this calculation to make it easy to choose a radiator that will have a heat output that exceeds the heat loss of the room when connected to your heating system type.

If you don't know the room heat loss, you can use our calculator to find out.

What Delta Rating should I use?

  • Δ50 = Gas or oil boiler with a flow temperature of around 75°C and a return temperature of around 65°C.
  • Δ30 = Low temperature systems e.g heat pumps.
