Signature Metal Head - Natural Pewter Thermostatic Radiator Valve & Lockshield Angled 15mm
Product code: 24765
Connection
These valves feature a standard ½" BSP thread, making them compatible with all radiators and towel rails commonly used in the UK. The 15mm pipework connection fits the majority of domestic systems, and versions are available in 8mm and 10mm for homes with microbore pipework.
Fitting Type
Angled radiator valves are the most popular choice for UK homes, providing a neat 90° connection between your pipework and radiator. These valves are ideal for setups where:
-
Pipework rises from the floor and connects to side inlets on the radiator.
-
Pipework exits the wall, bends upward, and connects to side inlets.
-
Pipework exits the wall and connects to bottom radiator inlets—but the valve would protrude in front of the radiator. In such cases, we recommend corner valves for a more streamlined finish.
Each valve comes with a matching lockshield valve for installation on the return pipe, ensuring balanced system performance and visual harmony.
Control Type
These Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs) allow individual temperature control for each radiator in your home, helping to lower energy use and reduce heating bills. The traditional wax sensor inside the TRV head expands and contracts based on the room temperature, adjusting the flow of hot water accordingly.
You set the desired temperature using the ridged dial (more grooves = warmer).
All TRVs come with built-in frost protection, which opens the valve slightly if the room temperature drops too low, preventing frozen pipes and radiator damage.
Material
Constructed from premium-quality solid brass, these valves offer long-lasting strength and durability—designed to maintain their performance and visual appeal for years.
Colour
Natural Pewter offers a timeless, softly textured matte grey finish—reminiscent of aged cast iron and vintage tankards. This neutral yet character-rich colour complements virtually all radiator finishes including white, black, anthracite, and raw metal, making it a versatile choice for any room.
Style
Inspired by period charm, the Signature Metal Head collection adds heritage appeal to your heating setup. Perfect for traditional column radiators or vintage-styled spaces, these valves are a go-to for homes that blend historic elegance with practical comfort.
Final Touch
Complete the look with matching pipe covers—a simple addition that hides exposed pipework for a clean, coordinated finish.

Watts & BTUs (British Thermal Units) Explained
What is a Watt?
Watts are our main unit of energy/power in the UK, commonly associated with lightbulbs and Home Energy performance certificates (EPCs).
What is a BTU?
BTUs are the unit of measurement used to portray a radiators heat output and a rooms heating requirement. 1 Watt is equal to 3.41 BTUs.
Why are they important?
We buy radiators to heat our homes, right? So, we need a way of knowing if a radiator is powerful enough to heat the room that we are shopping for - Watts and BTUs provide us with a value that makes its easier to compare radiators and ultimately choose the right one for our heating requirement.
Need help figuring out how much heat your room needs?
Our fast and easy-to-use BTU calculator can help you:
- Work out a heating requirement value (in BTUs & Watts) for your room
- Show you in-stock radiator recommendations that can fulfil this heat requirement
Delta (Δ) Ratings Explained
What is a Delta (Δ) Rating?
When discussing heat outputs, the Delta rating is the difference between the temperature of the water inside the heating system and the desired temperature of the room.
What does the value represent?
In simple terms, this value is about heat loss. Heating a room only works, if the radiator output exceeds the heat loss of the room.
We use this calculation to make it easy to choose a radiator that will have a heat output that exceeds the heat loss of the room when connected to your heating system type.
If you don't know the room heat loss, you can use our calculator to find out.
What Delta Rating should I use?
- Δ50 = Gas or oil boiler with a flow temperature of around 75°C and a return temperature of around 65°C.
- Δ30 = Low temperature systems e.g heat pumps.
